Lucent Sky AVM version 2603 MR released

March 30, 2026

Welcome to Lucent Sky AVM version 2603 MR, our first release of 2026. Version 2603 introduces major enhancements to dependency analysis and management, a new UI for exploring dependency vulnerabilities, improvements across source code analysis engines, and performance gains throughout the platform — including a new adaptive I/O subsystem designed to make large on‑premises instances faster and more responsive. To learn more about this release, visit the Lucent Sky AVM version 2603 release notes.

Let’s take a look at the key new features and enhancements in Lucent Sky AVM version 2603.

Expanded dependency analysis and vulnerability management

Version 2603 introduces major expansion for vulnerability management. The new vulnerability interface — available in both the API and the Web UI — provides a dedicated hub to explore vulnerabilities discovered in previous scans or through continuous monitoring. Users can sort vulnerabilities by severity or discovery date, drill into details, and understand exactly which components and applications are affected. Continuous vulnerability monitoring is also now available for on-premise instances.

We’ve also introduced several enhancements to dependency management. License discovery now combines on‑device machine learning with Real-time Intelligence to more accurately identify licenses associated with software components. Users can also manually override dependency metadata and licenses directly within the platform for special cases or custom components.

Additional improvements to dependency analysis include more accurate discovery for ECMAScript and Node.js projects and general performance enhancements in the dependency analysis engine.

Enhanced parsing, lexing, and source analysis

This release continues the optimization of the unified parsing and lexing infrastructure introduced in version 2512. Version 2603 includes improved parsing and lexing for Dart, Visual Basic, and VBScript, contributing to more accurate and consistent analysis across a broader set of languages.

We also updated the source code analysis engines for C/C++, C#, ECMAScript, Go, Java, PHP, Python, Ruby, and VB.NET, utilizing the new unified parsing and lexing infrastructure to deliver up to 25% improved analysis performance.

Faster, smarter remediation

As a pioneer in automatic vulnerability remediation, we continue to advance Lucent Sky AVM’s remediation engines to deliver intelligent, deterministic fixes. In version 2603, we improved our ML‑augmented remediation algorithms so they adapt more efficiently to developer preferences and work more effectively for teams with diverse or even conflicting security policies.

More performant API

Version 2603 introduces a new adaptive I/O subsystem. By intelligently adapting to the IOPS of the underlying system, the platform delivers faster and more consistent performance — especially on instances with slower I/O or containing large numbers of applications and scans.

Updating to 2603 MR

For customers with managed Lucent Sky AVM instances and Lucent Sky AVM On-Demand, your instances will be updated to 2603 MR in the coming days, unless affected by backward compatibility issues or an opt-out is in effect.

For customers with on-premise Lucent Sky AVM instances, you can update to 2603 MR immediately. Our support team will reach out shortly to schedule the update.
