Lucent Sky AVM 3.4 released
June 01, 2016
Lucent Sky AVM 3.4 consists the result of months of engineering efforts that aimed to make Lucent Sky AVM more memory efficient, and improvements on ASP.NET compilation error tolerance. Also included are IDE plug-in updates that consolidate improvements made over the past four months.
Updates in Lucent Sky AVM 3.4 include:
- Improved memory efficiency - The analysis engines now use memory more efficiently when analyzing large .NET and Java web applications. The improvement should be very noticeable on Lucent Sky AVM running on servers with less than 16 GB of memory, as well as when analyzing web applications that have over 2,000 of dynamic web pages (such as .aspx pages and .jsp pages).
- Improved ASP.NET compilation tolerance - An improved ASP.NET compilation algorithm will be more tolerant to errors in .aspx pages. As a result, ASP.NET web applications and web sites that have errors in their .aspx pages are now more likely to be buildable, even if they fail pre-compilation in Visual Studio.
- IDE plug-in updates - Eclipse plug-in received major updates that allowed it to use new functionalities introduced in the past four months. Visual Studio Extension also received updates to make the interface in-line with the Web UI and Eclipse plug-in.
